August 27 - September 1

19 Comments:

  • Ran/walked 8 miles this morning. The air was heavy and no wind at all. Took me 10 minutes longer to do this 8 than it did a couple of weeks ago. So a disappointing run but glad it is over. I think I would have welcomed a rain shower. Hope your run is better for those running tomorrow morning. Jeri-I ran into Stacey H. at grocery store and she is all excited about coming back to work. She has been taking pilates with Steph A and looks great. Let me know if there are plans to run Monday. Have a great Labor Day weekend everyone one.

  • I plan on running tomorrow at 6 unless it's lightning. Loving the rain - just not on Saturday mornings!

  • i planning on being there too...unless lightening. The gentle rain earlier today was great. I'm not wild about 20 in pelting rain! Be sure to bring dry clothes! Jeri

  • I'm on the fence so that probably means I won't be running in the rain. I've only got to do 8 so will probably try to get it in Sun or Mon. Be careful out there.

  • Go ahead and say "I told you so". Jean and I kicked ourselves for 20 miles because we didn't start at 6 am. Glad that is done! As for tomorrow (Monday) I won't be able to join you. We are leaving at 7:30 to meet Jess so I will do my run at the ususal hour:(. Have a good run. Jeri

  • I've lost my mojo. This morning my little 4 mile run felt like hell. Everything hurt - my knee, my foot, my leg - and all I could think was "why did I ever sign up for another marathon". I spent the last 2 miles thinking about sleeping in on Saturday mornings, drinking wine on Friday nights and no more gu or gatorade - ever! In other words, life without running. Anyone else feel like this?

  • Ditto to a 4 mile run feeling like hell. Too darn dark when I started this morning-Kent went with me for the first 15 minutes as I have struggled with the darkness out here. I am hoping that come this Saturday with cooler temps things will seem better. I have to admit I really enjoyed going out and spending time with family and not thinking about my runs last weekend. If it helps I feel very inspired by everyone who is training for a marathon.

  • I slept through the alarm this morning and missed my run! It must be the barometric pressure! Anyway I plan to run Sat. My schedule for the marathon I have not yet registered for is 12 so I'll run something around that. Looks like maybe cool weather. YEA. The course looks like yet another trip out bottom road...BORING! Anyone interested in another route...just asking! Jeri

  • Surprisingly, I am pumped and motivated to run and very excited about the marathon. My husband thinks it redemption from Chicago that has me so pumped. Angie and I are scheduled to do 17 miles in the morning. As much as I hate bottom road it is nice sounding for that many miles. I could probably be convinced of another route too though. Hope to see everyone in the morning. Awesome weather is in the forecast.

  • I'm wondering if those of us who don't have to go so far might want to start at 7 so we'd be done around the same time. Any thoughts?

  • I have a wedding to go to after I get done running so I will be starting at 6. I plan on running between 10 and 12 miles just depends on how I feel.

  • I'm planning to only run 9 max so I'll probably start later and try to finish up with you. Will take my phone with me. Call or text when you are finished if I'm not there.

  • Hope everyone had a good run on Saturday. My 12 miles turned into 13-went a little too far on north bottom road. Was having foot and leg trouble and for the last half of the run I had to stop and stretch my leg about every half mile. Just a FYI-Steph Arnold is teaching a powercycle class on Tuesdays at QMG from 5:30-6:15 PM. I took it last Tuesday and it was a great workout. Jean-did you find your mojo on the run Saturday?
