Who all is planning on running tomorrow, Cheryl are you in? I'm still having back issues, didn't run Sunday because my back was bothering me, felt good Monday, went to park and stopped at 2.5 because of the pain. Had incredible pain Monday /Tuesday. got massage Wednesday. feeling a little better. I think I need a flat route tomorrow, may have to turn around....planning 8-9 miles. I'm sure I will be moving slow, even walking slower than usual. Angie
I will be running 19 miles tomorrow. I'll wait and see what the rest of the group decides and then chime in if I think I can work it out to join you. Angie sorry to hear you are still having back issues. Don't overdo it. Cindy said Karen has mandatory training and won't be running :( Jeri
Angie planning on running tomorrow and flat is fine with me. If you don't feel up to it I can run on my own. If you want to run you know I am the turtle in the group so slow it goes is fine with me as is walking. Just let me know. I overdid it on running stairs and then a power class at Nufit so I have very sore calves. I think they are mooing.
Like I said, I am planning on giving it a go tomorrow. I will just play it by ear if my back bothers me too much. I am willing to come to Quincy, or I can do Hannibal too. Cindy, let me know what you are doing, I will tag along- Jeri, I know I couldn't possibly run with you, can't even when I'm well. If we run in Hannibal we can still coffee though....:) Angie
I think I'm going to try to run 4 miles with Greta tomorrow. Have to admit I haven't run since the Frozen Buns. 8-9 will be a little much. She's doing BTG and I may just tag along for a week. Adam and Ben & family are home this weekend so I don't have a lot of time. Met your co-worker Maureen yesterday at crossfit. Angie - hope your back starts feeling better. Doesn't sound like fun.
Miss running with all of you:( I've been getting my runs in but the Saturday ones sure aren't the same. Angie, sorry to hear about the back pain. I don't remember you ever saying anything about back pain before. We've had good weather until today when all the rain came. Jen and Paige leave tomorrow and then we'll have some adult time, though it's been great having everyone here. We plan on being home by March 7th...I have a hair appt. I can't miss!
hope to c u soon Cheryl. Cut Kelly Bakers hair this week, think she's going to maybe going to try to run with us after little rock. so cindy, 7:30? Hannibal or Quincy? Angie
Angie I am fine with coming to Hannibal but don't want you to feel any pressure to run more than you are able. I will plan on Java Jive at 730 unless I hear otherwise from you. If we plan an out and back we can turn around whenever you want and I can just add on when we get back to the start.
It is going to be COLD in the morning. I will plan on meeting you at Java Jive at 7:30. Can' miss my Saturday caramel roll! If this changes I will text Angie and/or Cindy. Will miss you Cheryl. Good to her from you Jean! Jeri
Hey guys, anyone running in the morning. As long as we don't get anymore snow the roads should be clear. I am scheduled for 20 miles so would love to share part of it. Looks like it will be cold but I don't think any colder than some other days we have run. Dan has been up since 5 cleaning our drive so I guess I got a snow day after a 3 1/2 hr trip home yesterday! Jean if you are reading this, don't you wish you were here to experience the snow storm! Jeri
Let me just say I'm tired of snow! Any thoughts on running tomorrow? Quincy, Hannibal, not at all? I am trying to pump myself up to run, but not sure how that's working for me. I haven't ran all week, big surprise! Somebody post some ideas!
I need to get my 10 miler in tomorrow. will be out of town next weekend. I haven't ran all week with the weather. because I refuse to do a treadmill. 7:30 Java jive anyone?
Me too...tired of snow that is! I am going to St. Louis after we run so my preference is Hannibal cuz it will get me on the road sooner to enjoy my 36 hour break before my last class starts! As long as I am stating preferences, if anyone is game I'd like to start at 7. OK big, selfish favor I know! For a route I was thinking out Industrial Drive (like last week), across the highway to behind General Mills, to Veteran's Road and then back into town on MM or West Ely. I know that doesn't mean much to Cindy and Karen but maybe Angie? I am guessing that would be about 10. I tried to use Map My Run but couldn't get the damn thing to work. However this is just an idea and I am open to any route with any starting time (as long as it isn't after 7:30!). I'll check back to see the plan. Jeri
Hannibal is fine. Start time-just let me know. Karen-I feeling the same but the 10 miles will go faster in a group setting. I got one run in outside Monday after work and one on the dreadmill. Wanted to do more but too much cleaning for tomorrow night birthday party for my Dad.
7 at Java is fine with me, although you realize you will still finish way ahead of us. You should probably start at 7:30 Jeri, or maybe you could take a shower at Java Jive when you are done and waiting for us :). I drove West Ely route tonight, I think it would be safer than MM, and by my car it would be somewhere just over 10. I'm not sure how to get to Paris Gravel from behind GM, I think it would be less mileage, and we don't need any extra, if we just cut through their front parking lot, over to Paris Gravel. There were will be plenty of elevation climbing in the second half. Be prepared. See you at 7!! Angie- Karen-get your a@@ moving in the morning-unless you're feeling like crap, you'd better be there!
Jean-glad the snow was still on the ground for your return. Angie is going to be in Chicago. I think Jeri is maybe going out of town but not sure. We ran 10 miles last week in Hannibal and I think Karen and me were tentatively planning on 7 this week as a back down week. No route yet. Anyone have any ideas? Cheryl we miss you and would love to see you. I think we were planning to run in Quincy.
7 miles in Quincy works for me! I am hoping we don't get rained on. It would be great to see you Jean. You to Cheryl! What time and place do we want to meet?
I just finished 20 tonight...the hilliest route I have around her and my legs were screaming by the end! But it is done! We are heading to see Jess' family for the weekend so won't be joining you. Hopefully next weekend. Welcome back Jean. Jeri
Planning to meet you at Madison Park for 7. I've been missing you guys too. If raining I'll probably pass though as I have to go somewhere afterwards and would rather not have wet hair.
I got my 10 miles in after the rain this morning but it was ugly, I guess since I hadn't run at all last week. Hope we can all get together for a run soon.
I got in my 7 miles. Was feeling like I need to get my run in and Kent was like just enjoy taking a Saturday off. It looked like the sun was trying to break through the clouds so I decided it was now or never and was glad to get it done. With the sun out the wind felt ok.
Planning to get my 6 in tomorrow morning with Greta & Kelly Baker. Will see what Kelly thought of her first marathon. Her husband brought his Little Rock medal into crossfit the other night and it was HUGE. Might be one to consider!
Karen and I plan on meeting at 7 at Java jive, Jeri and Jean you still gonna meet at 7:30? that will put us done about the same time. Cheryl, we're doing 11, you joining us? Angie
